Kate Moss and Jamie Hince looked a little bleary-eyed after going out with their friends at the London club Whiskey Mist on Thursday night. Her birthday celebrations that lasted all of last weekend and drew a few noise complaints from her neighbors evidently haven’t affected their stamina for staying out late. It turns out, though, that Kate and Jamie might be trading the hot spots of the UK for those of the USA – he’s apparently considering a move to NYC for the sake of his band and she’s thinking of going along. In a recent interview with Paper Magazine, Scientologist Bijou Phillips went off on psychiatric medication, basically telling everybody with depression to just man up. Us Weekly reports: “My grandparents didn’t take any pills, and they were fine,” Phillips said in the February issue of Paper. “Just buck up and get over it. Stop being such a f—king pansy.” The budding actress frequents Scientology-sponsored events and spoke out against psychiatry and prescribing patients with medication for such mental illnesses as depression or anxiety. Yeah, I usually find the best treatment for people with depression is to call them a fucking pansy as well. Because no amount of medication or psychiatric help can compete with just telling somebody to stop being depressed. It works for other things too. Just the other day I saw a guy running around on fire screaming for help and I was like “Hey, quit it!” So then he fell to the ground, stopped moving, and the fire eventually went out. Community members and lawmakers asked the NYPD to increase its presence in Fort Greene after a doctor was raped on Thursday morning. City Councilwoman Letitia James said more foot patrols are needed in the community and added that more recruits should be sent to the “understaffed 88th Precinct.” James also said, “We will find this criminal.” According to the Post , the 30-year-old woman was “dragged under a Fort Greene stoop and raped after stepping out of the subway” around 6 a.m. The attack occurred near the corner of St. Felix and Fulton Streets , which is just a few blocks from Brooklyn Hospital—as well as a number of subway stations and Long Island University. The Post also reports, “The thug, who covered his face with a scarf and was wearing a hat, grabbed his victim from behind and said he had a gun. He pulled her beneath the stairwell of a brownstone and raped her, cops said, then snatched her bag before escaping.” The woman went to Brooklyn Hospital after the attack and was treated there. The police description of the suspect is a black male, with a Nigerian accent, who was wearing a dark scarf and clothing. The Reverend Al Sharpton’s National Action Network is offering a $5,000 reward for the arrest and indictment of a suspect. The 88th Precinct had 7 reported rapes; there have been concerns there’s a crime wave in the neighborhood .
